Proteckfoc Fire Protection System

Protects cooking equipment, hood, plenum, and ducts, which are critical points in fire propagation. Its compact stainless steel design integrates seamlessly into the kitchen. Especially suitable for high-temperature applications such as grills and open flames.
Main features
Professional kitchens combine flammable oils and high temperatures, which increases the risk of fire. Therefore, the CTE mandates the compulsory installation of automatic extinguishing systems in kitchens over 20 kW (hospital or public residential use) and over 50 kW for other applications.
How does it work? 1. Fire starts in a cooking element due to negligence or equipment malfunction.
2. Automatic fire detection via thermal fuses when they reach their melting temperature.
3. Manual system activation: if the fire is visible, the system can be activated manually using the pull handle.
4. Activation of the discharge head: it acts on the pressurized container, releasing the extinguishing agent through the pipe network and nozzles.
5. Operation of the diffusing nozzles: distribute the extinguishing agent to the cooking elements, filters, plenum, and extraction duct.
6. Fire suppression: the extinguishing agent suffocates the fire by saponifying fats and prevents reignition. It is non-toxic and does not release harmful gases upon contact with fire. Very easy to clean, allowing the kitchen to be reused shortly after extinguishing.
Manual Pull Handle Allows quick and safe manual activation of the system by anyone, regardless of their experience in firefighting.
Activation Controller Mechanical activation system for the extinguishing system, without electrical or electronic connection, preventing failures in case of power loss.
Fuse Detection System Activates upon reaching a preset temperature according to the element being protected.
Nozzles Designed to discharge the agent appropriately for the protected element, covering each risk area.
Cabinet and Cylinder Proteckfoc is designed to adapt to different sizes and layouts of the equipment to be protected, with finishes that blend into the environment. Model 1130 (215x800x200 mm).
Protech-Ex Low PH Agent Extinguishing agent based on potassium carbonate and mineral salts with a near-neutral pH, safer for users and protected elements. The agent extinguishes fires by saponifying fats and prevents reignition. Non-toxic and does not release harmful gases upon contact with fire. Easy to clean, allowing the kitchen to be reused shortly after extinguishing.
All components of the system comply with European regulations, granting them CE marking, and have been tested according to the rigorous UL300 standards of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., which are currently the most demanding existing standards.
The equipment requires specialized annual maintenance to ensure it remains in optimal condition, which is a real economic advantage since our competitors require semiannual maintenance. The robustness and high quality with which all components are manufactured allow us to provide a “lifetime” guarantee, as long as the aforementioned maintenance program is followed, which is also mandatory under RD1492/1993 (RIPCI): “fire protection equipment and systems must be inspected annually by specialized personnel from the manufacturer or installer.”
