Casals Ventilació is a century-old company specializing in the manufacture of industrial fans.
With two production plants located in Sant Joan de les Abadesses and Ripoll, Casals manufactures all the products in its catalog.
The history of Casals dates back to the late 19th century (1881) when its founder, Francesc Casals i Fransoy, opened a small workshop in the centre of Ripoll (Girona). From the mechanization of cast iron parts and the construction of machinery for factories and workshops, this small business evolved over the years into an important company dedicated to the manufacture of tool components and later, tools themselves. This is when Talleres Casals was born, now located in a new complex in Ripoll.
In 1924, Casals began manufacturing its first models of industrial fans. It started using series manufacturing systems that later gave rise to the modern production lines we have today. This is how Casals became a pioneering company in the sector.
Over time, Talleres Casals diversified its production to the point that today, Casals Ventilación, one of its divisions, operates independently of the rest. Located in Sant Joan de les Abadesses, in a 12,000 m² plant, it manufactures over 100 series of fans, serving both the national and international markets. It also has a plant in Ripoll specialized in the manufacture of turbines, integrating all welding, stamping, and deep drawing processes.
In recent years, its evolution has been very successful, and today its export level is around 60%.
In September 2019, Casals Ventilación became part of the Italian group VORTICE, creating one of the most extensive catalogues of ventilation and air treatment products on the market, allowing them to expand its international presence. This integration has opened new possibilities in R&D, particularly focused on the continuous improvement of product efficiency.
Currently, as a manufacturer of fans with over 125 years of history, Casals Ventilación offers the market an extensive catalogue of technical ventilation for building and industrial ventilation. A standout feature of this catalogue is its wide range of fans certified to 400ºC/2h, all backed by a skilled technical team ready to address client queries and provide the most suitable products for their needs and projects.
