FC Control System for Frico Air Curtains
FC Control enables many intelligent and automated functions and allows you to optimize your comfort with minimal effort, tailored to your specific needs.
Main features
Depending on your needs, you can choose between four different packages: FC Direct, FC Smart, FC Pro and FC Building. Not only can you choose between these four packages, but you can also add components to expand and customize the system.
The FC control system allows you to configure many intelligent and energy-saving functions. Not only can you choose between the four packages, but you can also add components to expand and customize the system. With the app levels (FC Smart and FC Pro), it is also possible to create and control different zones. Each zone must be equipped with an FC Direct, and additional accessories can be added to design the zone according to specific needs. Air curtains and fan heaters with FC can be installed in different zones within the same system.
Energy saving with precise control
By receiving and reacting to information about the current room temperature, as well as the inlet and outlet temperatures of the air curtain, the system applies the appropriate amount of heat to avoid excess and reduce energy consumption. Included in all levels.
Automatic heating lock
To prevent unnecessary heating, the system automatically blocks any additional heating when the room temperature reaches the setpoint (default 15°C). Included in FC Pro.
Hall function
By installing two air curtains with the vestibule function, a dual effect is achieved. The outer curtain operates at higher speed with less heating, providing a better barrier. The inner curtain operates with lower airflow and more heating, achieving higher comfort and lower noise levels. Included in FC Smart and FC Pro.
Improved water control
Water heating is controlled more precisely with improved water functions and modulating actuators. Automatic functions such as bypass, frost protection and return water temperature control (with FCWTA sensor) improve product performance without any additional effort. Available with FC Smart, FC Pro or FC Building.
Ease of installation and operation
The system automatically detects any connected product or sensor and immediately starts operating. If any component is removed, a notification is sent and the system continues to operate according to the new conditions. Included in all levels.
Optimizes energy consumption with door contact
A simple door contact is included in all control levels. This allows the air curtain to operate only when needed and remain in standby when the door is closed to reduce energy consumption. Included in all levels.
Wireless sensors for easier installation
Indoor and outdoor temperatures can be measured using wireless sensors, making installation easier and faster, as no wiring through walls is required. Applicable to FCTXRF. Indoor/outdoor wireless sensor (for FC Smart and FC Pro).
Create zones
The zone function allows you to create different zones for different conditions and products within a larger system, ensuring maximum comfort and energy savings in all areas. All zones can be controlled from the same app. Available with FC Smart and FC Pro.
Automatic airflow control
To provide the best entrance protection under all conditions, the system automatically adjusts airflow progressively from 0% to 100% depending on indoor and outdoor temperatures. Included in FC Pro.
FC Direct
Basic-level control system to get started. The door contact includes an automatic energy-saving function, and the air curtain only activates when the door opens. When the door is closed, the unit remains in standby or operates at low fan speed if additional heating is required. With the calendar function, comfort and reduced periods can be selected. The control panel includes a temperature sensor, used when no external sensor is applied.
FC Smart
Second-level control system for full flexibility. FC Smart includes all features of FC Direct, plus additional energy-saving functions and the possibility to control the system via an app (Bluetooth). The app provides access to all system functions, allowing full customization. It also enables the creation of different zones in larger systems. The FRICO CONTROL app is available for iOS and Android.

FC Building - BMS
Comprehensive building control system allowing control via 0–10 V, potential-free contact (e.g. relay) and/or Modbus RTU (RS485). It enables monitoring of product status and alarms. Modbus allows full use of all energy-saving functions included in the control system.
